The Daily Grind by Marielle LeBlanc

Hello- Hello My Creative Scrapbook fans ! Marielle here today to share a step by step post of a layout I created with the June Main Kit featuring the awesome Family & Co collection from Fancy Pants Designs.

The Daily Grind

I decided to make some pocket type cards for my school themed layout.

Trim patterned papers 2 1/2" X 3 1/2" and white cardstock pieces 2 1/4 X 3 1/4.

Create rounded corners with your corner rounder.

Punch small holes , as shown

Thread cards with red jute twine from the kit.

Decorate each card with die cuts and chipboard pieces.

Attach banner to lower portion of layout.

Double mat photo and adhere above banner.

Add title, other chipboard and puffy stickers.

Stitch a few small strips of patterned paper at the top right
and add chipboard banner "my life" piece.
I finished my layout by adding a few splats of white paint.

Thanks for stopping by today !
Hope you find time to be creative this week :)

Here's a photo of the goodies I received from Spiegelmom Scrap.

How pretty are those Holiday traditions sequins ? !

I created two cards for this reveal using the sketch.

Merry and Happy
I used a white doily and the little itty bitty stars for this cards and
 paper supplies from Carta Bella.

Christmas Joy
For my second card I flipped the sketch on a diagonal angle.
I created a shaker "pouch" with one of the glassine bags
( cut in a circle) and filled it with sequins,
then machine stitched it to the center of a doily,
added the "Joy" sentiment and sticker.
Paper supplies are from Fancy Pants -Wish Season collection.

Hi and welcome to my blog !
So very happy to have been included on the Creative Scrappers team again !!!
This term Kristine has asked me to create two cards per month with the sketch.
It's really simple to convert layout sketches into cards.....just think smaller and without photos !

Hello Summer !

Hello and welcome to my blog. I hope you are all having a great summer so far, we just got back from camping and the weather was perfect !!
Today I am sharing a layout I created as a finalist for the May Arts Ribbon design team call. I'd love to be one of the new  Prima Ribbonista ! Fingers crossed :)

Hello Summer !

Supplies for this layout are from Fancy Pants Designs (Making Waves collection), May Arts Ribbon, Spellbinders and My Mind's Eye.

Here's a look at how I created this Summer themed layout.

Step 1- Create an anchor with wire and pliers.

Step 2- Wrap navy paper cord from May Arts Ribbon adding bits of glue to hold into place.

Step 3- Attach a small piece of white paper cord on the loop of the anchor.

Step 4- I love adding texture to background paper and for this project I decided to add spirals of paper cord in light blue, navy and white. I love how malleable this cord is.

Step 5- Machine stitch into place, if desired.

Step 6- Trim 3 various pieces of ribbon 2 inches long, adhere behind narrow strip of navy paper.
For this project, I used 3/4" Twill/Chevron in yellow and light blue and 7/8" Grosgrain horizontal stripes ribbon in orange.

Step 7- Fold ribbons over and trim off into points to create flags. Machine stitch the small flags into place.

Step 8- Adhere/machine stitch a 12" piece of yellow chevron ribbon on the left side of layout ,adding a strip of striped paper and a star cardstock die piece on each side.

Here's a close up of that hand crafted anchor :)

and a close up of the small flags.

 I hope you've enjoyed today's tutorial.
As always, thanks for visiting.....wish me luck !

Loving this moment

Hello , sharing a layout I created with the Office Sweet collection from Fancy Pants Designs.
I rarely scrapbook about myself and I know I should do it more. This photo was taken in Phoenix at the Spellbinders retreat last November. It felt awesome to just sit by the pool after a long day of travel from the east coast !!

Loving this moment

The decorative tag was made with  new dies from Spellbinders called Fancy Framed  Tags Four.
That's it from me today.
Happy father's Day to all the dads out there !

Meow !

Hello blog friends, I am sharing a cat themed layout created with the Kitty Play dies set on the Spellbinders blog today.
I love buying journaling cards even though I don't do Project Life projects. I just find them fun, colorful and useful to use on layouts and cards. For this project I thought it would be fun to "jazz up " some of the cards.

                                                           Meow !

Thank you for visiting my blog today.
