Fun with frames by Marielle

 Hello friends, Marielle here today with a step by step tutorial on how I created this layout using chipboard frames included in the beautiful May main kit :)

This really is my favorite photo of my boys when they were younger. I'm currently trying to coax them to do a redo of this photo now that they are older.

Start your layout by placing the large title on the small floral patterned paper. LOVE the puffy stickers from American Crafts -Vicki Boutin in the May main kit.

Cut a few strips of patterned papers and 2 strips in white cardstock in various widths.

Adhere strips as shown and machine stitch into place .

Trim off the strips at the bottom of the background paper.

Paint 3 of the larger chipboard frames with white paint, I used chalk paint I had in my stash. Let dry.

Place frames over the paper strips.

Using navy DMC floss ,stitch frames into place.

I love how these frames add texture to my layout.

Add photo over the frames (I used 3D foam) and add chipboard "happy" sentiment.

Add floral embellishments above and below the photo.

Finish layout by adding journal strips, a few of the pink puffy heart stickers and a few splats of black paint.

There you have it !

Happy Sunday creative fans  !!! It's only one month until Christmas and I have not done any decorating yet !!!! I better get on that this week :)

Today, I'm sharing my take on this week's sketch at Creative Scrappers.

This sketch is from Heather Leopard.

This new saying makes me laugh now...but for how long :)

I have to admit that I have a fear of paints and mists...I'm always afraid that I will screw it up ,so instead of the paint drippings on this sketch , I created these small banners over a few torn edges and added some Glimmer glaze splatters. 

I loved working with this sketch :) (thanks Heather) and these beautiful supplies from Pink Paislee-Portfolio collection.

Well, that's it for me...off to get some of my Christmas boxes out of the baby barn :)

Adventure Zone

Hello scrappy friends, I have a quick share of a layout I created for the Jillibean Bean Soup July sketch challenge. I always love Nicole's sketches, they make me work a bit out of my comfort zone and I love that !!!

I used the Macho Nacho Soup collection and a bit of the Game Day Chili Soup for this layout of the boys at Disney in May.

 The small banner was created by trimming some of the neckties from the "3 Parts Muscle" paper.

Snow day

Hi all, these are some of the projects I created this month with my Coordinates Collections "Frosty Porch Kit". I'm so loveing these Crate Paper goodies !!! i bought the chipboard elements for the add-on and plan to use all of them !!!! So cute !
