Wow ! it's been a great crafty week

Totally happy that both of these layouts I created at the Let's Capture our Memories crop last weekend were featured on the manufacturer's blog.
This one on the Jillibean soup blog yesterday !
and this one on the Echo Park blog today !!!
Way to encourage a gal to scrap some more !!!  :)

I made this layout last night using a challenge at October Afternoon. The challenge is to use something vintage on your layout. I bought this little tin pin of Felix the cat the other day and thought to make a layout of my sweet little Felix with it. I printed from a online source an old comic strip and an image of a book cover and distressed them for use on my layout. All supplies are from October Afternoon (a mix of many different collections !!) Love the way it turned out !!!

That's it for me today, hope you all have a great rest of the week !!!

Imaginisce i Rock blog hop -Day 3 - Paper with Pizazz !!

Welcome to day 3 of the Imaginisce blog hop !! Haven't the projects been inspiring !!

I decided to play with the adorable Enchanted collection for this layout of my sweet little niece.
I made the jewel filled heart by cutting a large heart shape with my Cricut ,then I punched out some small flowers using a punch and added the clear crystal gems in the center with my new favorite tool...the i rock !!! Seriously...now I want to add bling everywhere !!!

Here's a close up of the flower covered heart and crystal gems.

Gems and stencil used for this layout .

Cards,cards and more cards !!

Hello scrappy friends, I have some cards to share with you today for my DT work at Upsy Daisy Design. I have to admit I struggle sometimes with making cards...the first 3 cards I made for this assignment were terrible ,so they ended up in the trash !!! Then I sat down and made these...

I used the Vogue collection for this card . I simply cut 3 of the little journaling squares of the Strike a pose (see below) paper and adhered them to white cardstock with pop dots The "you are so tweet" sentiment is a rub on from the A little bird told me line. I made the little pin by cutting flowers from the bottom of one of the papers and adhering it to a quilting pin .

This Happy Birthday card was super easy to make...love the turquoise in this See you later Alligator  line !!!

and finally this little cupcake Birthday card. I used these rub ons for this card.

Thank you so much for visiting, I do hope you will have a great weekend. I'm off to Gabriel's hockey tournament this afternoon (out of town) ....no cooking or cleaning for me this weekend  !!!!!!
Bye for now !!!

Grandma and you (Uspy Daisy Design)

Good Wednesday morning scrappy friends, just a quick post today with a layout I created for my DT work at Upsy Daisy Design. It being March, I decided on this "Green" collection in honor of St Patrick's day !

                                                           Grandma and you

I used the Vogue collection from Upsy Daisy Design for this layout of Felix and my mother in law.....can you feel the love !!!
I started this layout with a misting of navy blue paint on the light blue paper. I hand cut the large flowers and adhered them with foam squares. The leaves and title letters were cut with my new Cricut Expression!!
Here's a little close up. I think this is my favorite collection. I just love the bright green and navy combo !!
Have a great day...off to work ....

Day #2036-Discover

Good Monday morning....I am home alone and loving the peace and quiet, I should be doing house work..but that can wait. Last week I made this layout of Felix for a challenge on the Scrap the Boys blog....the challenge was to use a specific date in your title. I used this date duration calculator website to see how old Felix was when this photo was taken. Just for  fun...I punched in my birth date and today I am 16,939 days old !!

Most of the supplies are from the Jillibean Atomic Soup collection. Thanks for the visit , have a great week !
